Fee concession

Guru Gobind Singh Convent School, Sohawa is not being run as a profit earning organization but to uplift the basic standard of education in the area around Sarhali Sahib. School will conduct the test to check the capability of a child before giving admission. If the child clears the test conducted by school, he/she will be admitted in the appropriate class. Fee concession is granted to the deserving students.

After admission sponsored child will have to meet following criteria:-

  • 1.  Minimum 95% school attendance during the session.
  • 2.  Should get minimum 50% marks in the final exam.
  • 3.  3. Should not create any problem in the school. Indiscipline will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
  • 4.  The librarian can recall any book any time from a student.
  • 5.  If a book is damaged or lost by a student, he/she will have to pay twice the price of the book.
  • 6.  No book shall be issued without identity card.
  • 7.  Library books, magazines etc. should not be marked or damaged in any way.

If the student meets these requirements, he/she will be recommended for sponsorship by the sampardai, during the next session.

The students sponsorship will be cancelled if any false information comes to light at any time. In addition to above criteria, school will also consider giving various incentives to meritorious students in terms of fee concession and cash incentive. Students standing first, second and third in the whole class (including all the sections of the class) will be issued merit certificate by the school and will be given other incentives.

  • 1. Half fee concession is given to the youngest child of the parents.

Fee Deposit

School will charge fee for 12 months in a year. Following rules will be strictly adhered to:-

  • 1.  Fee must be deposited in the school office by 10th of every month.
  • 2.  From 11th day of the month to 15th day, a fine of Rs. 5/- per day will be charged as late fee.
  • 3.  If fee is not paid by 15th of the month, student’s name will be struck off the school rolls.
  • 4.  Re – admission in school (if considered) will be considered as fresh admission and all charges including admission fee will be charged only for the remaining months of the year instead of 12 months.
  • 5.  Prior to summer holidays parents will have to deposit two months fee (i.e for June and July) together.
  • 6.  Rs. 200/- as concession will be given if the school fee is deposited for the whole year in advance

Note :- On special request to principal and if approved by her , the admission fee can be deposited in two equal installments i.e 1st installment on admission and 2nd within three months of admission. No such facility will be applicable to monthly fee.


Bus Charges

School is running buses on many routes. This facility is available for all the students who wish to avail. The buses pick up students on the main routes approved by the school management. Parents willing to use bus facility will have to drop and collect their wards from the fixed points. Parents are advised to clarify this point before opting for bus.

Refund of Fee

Fee once deposited will not be refunded except the monthly fee if it has been deposited in advance for the whole year. The refund will be applicable from the next month from the date of leaving the school. Admission fee is non- refundable.
